CHRISTMAS EVE

Your festive celebrations commence early afternoon when you may relax and unwind with afternoon tea by one of our many log fires and lose yourself in the magnificent views of Lake Ullswater. Celebrations this evening begin with an invitation from your host and his team for a canapé and cocktail reception where you will have the chance to meet your host along with all our staff, and other guests.  Our 7-course candlelit Gala dinner will be served in the restaurant. After dinner there will be the chance to play some parlour games. Midnight service in our local church welcomes the community and visitors alike, Mulled wine and mince pies will await your return to the hotel.

CHRISTMAS DAY

A traditional Christmas Day with a truly festive atmosphere. No lying in today! We expect a visit from Santa with presents for all.  After a hearty traditional breakfast served with Bucks Fizz to help ease everyone in to the Christmas spirit, you can spend the morning relaxing by one of our log fires or building up your appetite with a walk through the countryside or along the lake under the guidance of a member of staff.  We meet again at 12.00pm for hot punch in the lounge before a traditional Christmas Luncheon, with crackers to pull, hats to wear and all the trimmings is served at 12.30. Leave a little space for some homemade Christmas cake. Dinner tonight is an international buffet with dishes from around the world. There will be a chance for more games after dinner.
