In loving memory...

Grant Kinnie

Grant Kinnie sadly lost his life on september the 11th 2011. He was one of the instructors leading a group of students from Bolton School. His canoe capsized, thankfully he manages to save the 2 children in it with him but his life was taken, he was under the water for 20 minutes the air ambulance tried their best flew him to Newcastle RVI but he suffered with hyperthermia and unfortunately he just didn't pull threw. Grant died a hero doing what he enjoyed which is what we all have to remember, he was the happiest he had been in his life with so many special people that helped him get there. He touched so many hearts and was such a friendly loyal man could put a smile on the most stubbornness face. Elizabeth Ali General Manager of the hotel is putting her efforts into fundraising In memory of her late boyfriend Grant. She will be fundraising in a variety of ways for his charities. His charities include; Patterdale Fire and Rescue, Patterdale Mountain Rescue and Great North Air Ambulance all 3 rescues were involved in rescuing Mr Kinnie and fought to try and save his life.
